What Is A Marketing Campaign?

Marketing Campaigns focus on promoting a specific objective or goal for the company, brand or individual.

It is strategic marketing that lets businesses communicate their brand identity to reinforce their market position.

Like we’ve said before, marketing campaigns are designed to get attention.

Be it through print advertising, social media, traditional media, a contest or even rebranding.

The ultimate goal to launch a marketing campaign is to increase brand awareness of the business and acquire new customers.

The focus is on guiding the public towards the desired action of supporting and purchasing from your business.

In addition to giving brand identity and personality, marketing campaigns can also provide an emotional appeal.

Marketing campaigns are important because of that.

You want to make sure that these marketing campaigns are also aligned with your brand vision so that everything connects. You need to be in sync.

You want to remain authentic to who your brand is, right? That will create trust with your target audience, for sure.

We’ve successfully launched marketing campaigns at The Branded for our clients and have seen them grow since then.

Our successful marketing campaign examples will show you how it’s done in the next segment!

Marketing Campaign Examples - Modern Match Lingerie

We’ll look at marketing campaign examples in this blog post. A couple will be by The Branded.

Our client, Modern Match Lingerie is a lingerie company that inspires women to feel good and be themselves.

The Branded designed and developed their website in preparation for their brand launch.

This marketing campaign example is a great one because they met the objective of acquiring 1,000 customers in 30 days! How great is that?

Using the loss leader strategy, they acquired more than 1,000 new customers.

The strategy that was implemented called for giving away 1,000 free pairs of panties and charging just for shipping. With this, we also offered a matching bra to increase overall sales.

It allowed us to acquire new customers for free by getting 15% of all customers to upgrade to the matching bra.

This marketing campaign also increased their brand awareness and brand name. That’s one way to scale a business!

Online shopping has been growing, so advertising on big giant platforms like Google and Facebook gets expensive, especially for start-ups and small businesses.

The reason why we suggested this marketing strategy for our client was so that they could acquire more customers on a budget.

Think about it this way, the average cost to acquire customers for giant brands is somewhere between $35 to $75 per customer (that’s a lot, for businesses that are just starting out).

While start-ups or businesses who have not raised any brand awareness, unfortunately, the cost can go as high as $300 per acquisition.

We acquired new customers for $3 thanks to our campaign strategy. The takeaway? This marketing campaign example shows that you can run a successful marketing campaign for a low-budget cost.

Understanding the free product for the cost of shipping marketing strategy

Offering a free product for the cost of shipping is a great way to increase sales. It's an easy and effective strategy, as customers can get the product they want without having to pay full price. Plus, you don't have the added hassle of dealing with returns or refunds. You'll also be able to capture more leads, as customers will provide their information for the free shipping offer. All in all, using this marketing strategy is a win-win for both you and your customers. It's a great way to get people interested in your products and build loyalty.

And, guess what? We can tell you more about this strategy and how it can work for you. Feel free to contact us for all your branding and digital marketing needs.

Let’s study more marketing campaign examples to get our imagination flowing!

Marketing Campaign Examples - We Wild Women

We’ll look at marketing campaign examples in this blog post. A couple will be by The Branded.

The next marketing campaign example is We Wild Women, a personal coaching business that helps women get their business soaring. We’ve helped them with a marketing campaign with the objective of acquiring 10 new clients. Their main purpose was to gain brand awareness and acquire new clients.

The campaign strategy we implemented was to launch a Facebook and Instagram branded campaign. This helped to create brand awareness and acquire leads. It’s social media, after all. With a marketing and branding team behind you and a great marketing strategy plan, you can reach your brand objectives

Our ad strategy included A&B tests, ad copy and more to deliver leads at a low cost. Again, we’re all about that low cost here. We help you save money at The Branded and find ways for our clients to excel at the same time. Growing a business takes a lot of brand planning and strategic minds coming together to launch something amazing. Plus, lots of creativity. We’re the best marketing agency, and we’d love to grow your business with you.

The reason why we recommended this campaign strategy to We Wild Women was because, at that time, the cost to acquire leads on Facebook was low. We were able to get leads using creative advertising and engaging copy.

The result of this marketing campaign example? With our guidance and help, they were able to position themselves in their respective marketplace with a strong brand message and brand vision to help women in their lives and careers. It’s a crowded space, but they positioned themselves well and showcased their brand identity and brand story.

All of that resulted in a successful marketing campaign.

Marketing Campaign Example - Expedia

We’ll look at marketing campaign examples in this blog post. A couple will be by The Branded.

Expedia, our next marketing campaign example. They have created a visual marketing campaign that works for them. Especially for an online travel agency. Let’s look at the key takeaways to help your business garner the same attraction.

Upon entering the website, it gives you a quick guide letting you know you’re able to toggle using the arrow keys between 5 different places in Great Britain: Cornwall, Wales, Highlands, Manchester and London. The videos for each place are stunning, and the seamless toggle from one place to another creates a great user experience.

Expedia created this marketing campaign to promote an itinerary at the end after finishing the video. The itinerary is based on how much time you watched each location’s video when you’re jumping from one shot to the next. It tracks which you were more interested in. But also, it makes a user want to watch all five different videos.

It’s clever, really. The itinerary also provides you what to do and where to stay.

What do we take away from this as business owners and marketers? There are four things.

  • Get creative and think of the user experience

  • Using a microsite can benefit your marketing campaign

  • Provide valuable and unique offer

  • Tie in campaign result at the end

We can create marketing campaigns for your brand, too. If you’re interested in scaling your startup, you’ve come to the right place. We also have more information in this blog post: marketing strategies for startups.

Marketing Campaign Examples - Ikea

We’ll look at marketing campaign examples in this blog post. A couple will be by The Branded.

Let’s study another marketing campaign example.

Here is a social media marketing campaign by the one and only, Ikea. This one is a bit different. But to simplify the story, for context’s sake, a world memory champion, Yanjaa, becomes the Ikea human catalogue after memorizing the 2018 Ikea catalogue.

What did Ikea do? Build a whole campaign around it, because why not? It’s unique, quirky and it makes people curious. To prove this, they put her in front of a live audience on Facebook and she was successful in answering all the questions via the comments.

How does this benefit Ikea? It’s a re-introduction to the whole Ikea catalogue. But in a fun way! The key takeaways:

  • Livestreaming for a social media marketing campaign can have its benefits

  • Get creative and turn something never before seen or done to benefit the brand

You might be wondering how this can be applied to your small business or start-up? Well, to put it in perspective, we have to look for opportunities like this, not necessarily this situation, but putting to front creativity and your brand vision will go a long way. Remember, the ultimate goal to launch a marketing campaign is to increase brand awareness.

Social media is there to help your brand excel, but you need branding and marketing strategy to scale online. That’s where we come in, a Vancouver Branding Agency to help you with your brand foundations, marketing needs and all things branding.

Marketing Campaign Examples - Organic Valley

We’ll look at marketing campaign examples in this blog post. A couple will be by The Branded.

Let’s look at one last marketing campaign example. This one is a video marketing campaign.

Organic Valley is an organic food brand and independent cooperative of organic farmers. The video marketing content is in line with their message. Simple and honest. Sharing their story builds trust and connections with consumers.

This shows you that your video marketing doesn’t need to be always bold or out there. Sometimes bringing it into the roots of the company is the way to go. What are the key takeaways from this?

  • Sometimes simple is best

  • Show your authentic story to connect meaningfully with the audience

  • Incorporate your brand values in all that you do

We can help to tell your brand story to the world.

Honing in on your brand voice is important, and we have a brand voice guideline blog post for that.

Those blog posts will help any startups as well.
